ORLANDO – Construction firm Robins & Morton recently welcomed students from Black Architects in the Making – Orlando (BAM) to visit their HostDime Corporate Headquarters and Data Center project as part of BAM’s Summer Week Experience.
Students learned about the day-to-day activities and typical challenges faced on a jobsite, as well as the relationship between a project’s architect and general contractor. Presenters included Robins & Morton Assistant Superintendent Garrett Wilson and Project Engineer Daniela Torres.
Students also learned about new construction technology from Robins & Morton Technology Implementation Coordinator Christina Till, followed by a surprise visit from Morty, Robins & Morton’s SPOT® robot by Boston Dynamics.
