SANFORD – When Pastor Kenneth Clark recently hosted supporters, mentors and families for a second anniversary celebration of Vibrant Families (VFAM), the charitable organization he founded, Sanford City Commissioner Sheena R. Britton surprised all with an official proclamation.

The City has officially designated April 22 as “VFAM Day” in the City of Sanford.

The proclamation formally recognizes VFAM as the dedicated non-profit organization that focuses on the transformative growth of at-risk and fatherless young men, steering them toward a promising future.

The proclamation also recognizes Pastor Clark and his organization’s resilience, compassion and tireless efforts in the face of many challenges along with the collaborative support they’ve received, and the impact they have made in the community.

“I’m beyond grateful to Commissioner Britton and the City of Sanford for this recognition.  It’s a testament to the collective effort it takes to make a difference in our communities,” Clark said.
